Our public relations clients

client testimonials about our PR services

Here are some of the great things our clients have been saying about us:

Internal communication testimonial

Thanks to Anna at Cadence, Junk Run now has a readable, user friendly Employee Hand Book that is clear, succinct and importantly, positive, instead of the former rather dour and negative list of do's and don'ts. Great editing and rewriting. Thank you Anna and the team at Cadence.
 - Helen Melrose, Director, Junk Run

Crisis communication planning testimonial

I strongly recommend Cadence Communications. We had bounced around trying to get our Critical Incident Communication Plan on track and sought Cadence’s help. Anna used her knowledge, skills and insights to review what we had, make amendments and include many additions to create an excellent plan.

Obviously we hope never to have to use the document, but if a critical incident or crisis strikes then I have every confidence that we have the document we need to be able to manage all aspects of communications related to the incident(s).
 - Graham Seatter, Chief Executive, Hillary Outdoors Education Trust

Communication clarity workshop testimonial

Many thanks for the half day workshop with us - it was exceptionally helpful. We really appreciated your ability to listen, interpret and weave together our thinking.

- Shirley Johnson, Director Youth Employability, COMET Auckland

Public relations testimonials

In early 2017 Cadence Communications were employed by The Langham Auckland to assist with project to promote awareness of the hotels sustainability credentials, focussed around our winning of an international environmental award.  Cadence's brief included assistance with developing key messaging, media relations, development of a media familiarisation program, development of an invitation list and support for our announcement event.
From the outset, I always felt comfortable that we had selected the right people for this job.  Cadence quickly came to grips with the specifics of the project and importantly, rapidly assessed the unique touch points important to our internal stakeholders. As the Director responsible for this project I worked closely with Suzanne and always found her approachable, candid and focused on leading me towards the agreed outcomes. Suzanne has a down to earth charm that allows her to translate typical marketing speak into relevant and actionable terms.
I was impressed with Cadence and their ability to quickly  present a well-structured plan. As it turned out the timeline and requirements of the project moved away from the original brief, through our own requirements as the client, but Cadence showed an admirable flexibility and continuous focus on our goals, ensuring that the end result exceeded our initial expectations. At the end we measured our communication success through exposure, and we were more than delighted with the opportunities Cadence created and delivered for us across a wide range of media. From their introductions and depth of knowledge we have now developed valuable new contacts and several important relationships with local media and influencers.  The results achieved gave us unexpected kudos within our own organisation and have had a notable impact on the group’s global sustainability outlook.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Cadence or to employ them for another similar project again.
 - Michael Shah, Director of Sales and Marketing, The Langham Auckland

Macular Degeneration NZ (MDNZ) engaged Cadence Communications to lead the Macular Degeneration annual Awareness Week campaign in May 2016. Their collective insight, experience and commitment led to a very successful campaign that worked extremely well for us.  We were delighted with the very good media pick up resulting in extensive coverage through social media, TV, radio and print both nationally and around the regions. We thank the team at Cadence.
- Phillippa Pitcher, General Manager, Macular Degeneration New Zealand

Working with Anna at Cadence Communications has been a very successful partnership for Fero.  Anna has gained us extensive coverage across a range of media relevant to our industry and beyond.  Not only have our customers been exposed to some very positive media but also there has been a very large spill over into other industries and audiences who have been exposed to our company and what we do through this PR campaign.

Anna has a great way of drawing information for an article and clearly communicating the relevant detail.  She has a great understanding of the current climate and what the media is looking for.  Being able to match what we are trying to achieve in our marketing strategy with what is going to gain traction as news is a key part of successful PR and Anna has a talent for this.

I look forward to working with Cadence in the future and would happily recommend their services to anyone wanting to use the media to communicate their message.
- Sam Fulton, Sales & Marketing Director, Fero

Suzanne McNamara at Cadence Communications has handled our media coverage for the NZI Sustainable Business Network Awards for four years now. We’ve been delighted with the coverage she has obtained for us. She’s a hard worker who is persistent at pursuing any media opportunities to ensure she obtains the best possible coverage for us. She has a very good understanding of different media as well as a good understanding of us as a client, and is well connected in the media world. I have no hesitation in recommending Suzanne.
- Rachel Brown, Chief Executive Officer, Sustainable Business Network

Cadence Communications’ media training workshop was very good, with great tips and ideas.  It covered all the angles, was clear and concise and focused in on what’s most important.  The facilitator was great.
- Paul Cording, Marketing Manager, EECA

I introduced Anna to one of my clients who sought a PR professional who specialised in B2B. She quickly understood the client's market and the problems that they faced, whilst also advising us on what PR could and could not do to fix these problems.  Anna was a pleasure to work with - professional, realistic and not afraid to speak out. She has generated a great deal of valuable PR for my client by finding interesting angles and developing good stories that she sold in through her long-standing media relationships.  We were delighted to have her on our team..
- Jason Willis, Volom Marketing

I highly recommend Suzanne to any business that is looking for a savvy, strategic and dedicated Marketing, PR and sponsorship manager - she delivers on all levels and will be a major asset to your brand or project.
- Amanda Wright, Splore Founder

I have worked with Anna for many years and appreciate her dedication to helping us communicate with great clarity and effectiveness.  She goes to considerable lengths to ensure we are clear about what we want to achieve from the exercise and challenges our thinking to make sure we get it right.  I know I can always count on her to then get on and do the work in a cost- and time-effective manner.
- Mark O’Brien, General Manager Manned Services, Armourguard Security

I love the fact that I can rely on Anna to provide totally impartial and unbiased advice, often asking the difficult questions and then having the skills to communicate this very clearly and succinctly ensuring we present ourselves in a  professional way at all times.
- Aaron Kedzlie, Owner-Operator, Gilmours Mt Roskill and Whangarei

Hiring Suzanne to get some "PR" seemed normal enough. A press release here and there, maybe a call from someone in the media . . . but what we got wasn't expected at all. Can you believe Suzanne got us a full page article in the Sunday Star-Times? And on their website. Color, photos, interview. . . the whole shebang.

Hire Suzanne. Expect Greatness.

- Dan R Morris, Blogging Concentrated New Zealand Tour
